Eikon Design was invited to design a fresh strong contemporary look for the ABP boardroom that reflected its coastal location and showed the history of the Port.
The chosen furniture has a clean architectural look and the room colours work with the industrial environment – we upcycled the existing door by adding a ‘porthole’ and spray coated with the corporate blue from the ABP brand and fitted economical LED lighting to create a good working ambience. We added wipe boards, a plasma screen, IT and a conference call system…to optimise communication.
We sourced three aerial photographs of the port from the 1980’s | 1990’s | 2000’s to show the development of the port over 30 years. The dark grey feature wall boasts two large full colour aerial photographs of the ABP Ayr and Troon ports at the present day. All the photos serve as a good point of reference at meetings as well as stunning visuals.
